JIM FANNIN
  BASS GUITAR              VOCALS
      SONGWRITER
Like the rest of the Heartaches, Jim was raised in a musical family.   Both of his parents are musicians.   Almost every weekend there was a pickin' party at someone's house.  Jim played trombone in the school band and sang in the church choir.   After high school he played bass and guitar in several bands.   While in the Navy he played in a contempory jazz combo in southern California.   Upon his return to Texas, he rediscovered his country roots.   Jim played with several local bands,  and managed the first Opry in Manvel, Texas in 1988.   His assistant manager was Janet David.  They left the opry and started the TEXAS HEARTACHES in 1989.
